Describe the essence of what you do in your job:
I meet with patients to help them increase in strength, balance, and endurance to be able to return to their prior level of function. I also look at them as a whole person – body, mind, and soul – and strive to bring health to all three.
What are some of your interests, outside of work?
Being a wife, hiking, exploring the island, going to the beach, gym, woman’s Bible study.
What are some things you believe in? What is your favorite quote or words of wisdom?
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For we were bought at a price: therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
What do you like most about working at this organization?
I love going into people’s homes and treating them because I am able to get a better picture of the needs of the patient (body, mind, spirit). It’s also a more relaxing environment for the patient. I enjoy treating a variety of patients in regards to age, race, backgrounds, and diagnosis.
What do you like most about caring for patients?
Rejoicing with my patients in their progress and figuring out how to meet not only their physical needs but also their emotional and spiritual needs.
Why did you choose to become a physical therapist?
I had been through physical therapy myself and was so grateful and intrigued by everything that was happening in the clinic. I wanted to be able to help others the way they helped me.
