Describe the essence of what you do in your job:

Essentially, I am assisting individuals to overcome barriers in order to achieve the highest level of participation they can in their chosen occupational role and activities of everyday life. Participation can be supported or restricted by physical, social, attitudinal, or environmental barriers.

 

What are some of your interests, outside of work?

Being physically active in all the island has to offer, reading, and watching movies.

 

What are some things you believe in? What is your favorite quote or words of wisdom?

What do you like most about working at this organization?

What I like most about being an OT is that I can make a difference to help people achieve their goals and improve their lives.

 

What do you like most about caring for patients?

I love the diversity in ideas and attitudes that I get to work with, and to meet such hard working people that just want to improve their situation.

 

Why did you choose to become an occupational therapist?

I became an OT because it was the perfect combination of science, medicine and creativity all meshed together and allows me to work with people every day.

 

What do you think patients like most about you?

My patients appreciate my dedication to them, and my ability to problem solve and offer suggestions without being too pushy.

 

What do you think patients like most about your organization?

My patients love the convenience of in home therapy, and I love that I get to work in the actual environment (at home) where my patients complete their activities of daily living.
