OVERVIEW

Golfer’s Elbow (Medial Epicondylalgia)

Golfer’s elbow is often caused by people who play racquetsports or golf. They may also have tennis elbow and overuse their forearms, traumatize their elbows by playing many “fat” shots of golf, or poor swing technique.

Common symptoms include pain at the elbow’s inner side and resisted wristflexion.

Most cases can be relieved by activity modification, anti-inflammatory medication, ice, progressive stretching, and strengthening. Recalcitrant cases only have the option of surgery.
