DPT Student

I was born and raised in San Francisco, California, where I attended elementary and high school among the hills and fog. After high school, I moved to New London, Connecticut to play basketball for Connecticut College, where I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology. After graduating in 2016, I moved to central Vietnam to experience a new culture and way of living, and work as an English teacher and a basketball coach for local children and teens.

Upon moving back to the US, I was working for a financial services company when my Dad, who was battling brain cancer, became very sick. I quit my job in order to care for him in 2020. Taking him to his physical therapy appointments and helping him with his home exercise program reminded me of how powerful physical therapy care can be in improving someone’s quality of life. Thanks to this experience, I was compelled to apply to DPT programs and pursue a career as a physical therapist myself. 

I am most at peace outside, romping around with my dogs (Jones & Norman) and/or my boyfriend (Michael). I love to hike, swim, mountain bike, cook and eat spicy food, drive around and listen to loud music, and spend time laughing and joking with my family and friends.
