Physical Therapy Aide

 

I was born and raised here in Sandpoint, Idaho. I graduated from Sandpoint High School in 2018 and played four years of soccer there. I then moved down to Coeur D’ Alene and graduated from North Idaho College in 2021 with an Associate of Arts degree in general studies. After that, I transferred over to Warner Pacific University in Portland, Oregon where I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree. I also played five years of soccer while I was in college. My next goal is to work/gain experience this next year here at Kauai Therapy and get into Physical Therapy school so I can obtain a doctorate in PT. I worked here this past summer as an aide and now I’ll be back here this whole next year!

At Kauai Therapy & Wellness, I specialize in modalities such as heat, ice, e-stim, ultrasound, and cold laser. I help the physical therapists and assistants with tasks they cannot perform at the same time so it can vary from instructing exercises to cleaning, etc. Something patients have to deal with that I want to help with is improving their level of pain, function, and attitude toward exercise.

 

I enjoy working at Kauai Therapy because of the family environment here. All of the staff and patients are great people and all of them are motivated to get better every day.

When I’m not working I enjoy playing soccer, working out, traveling, and recently I’ve been learning how to hunt and fish.
