The treatment of speech, communication, and swallowing disorders. The approach used depends on the disorder, but may include physical exercises to strengthen the muscles used in speech (oral-motor work), speech drills to improve clarity, or sound production practice to improve articulation. Our Speech therapists work with all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics.
A Speech Therapist obtains an undergraduate degree, and must graduate from an accredited master’s program in speech-language pathology. All of our therapists are certified by the state of Hawaii and nationally.
